The postoperative complications were pneumothorax, stenosis of the cervical anastomosis, wound infection, intestinal obstruction, leakage of the anastomosis, gangrene of the transplants in orders. The results were evaluated according to the ability of swallowing solid foods. Twenty-three patients (92%) were rated as good, two were failed. No operative mortality was recorded.
